Free Vector Swooshes and Fancy Corner Designs

Posted by Sideduck at 12/15/2007

I’m going to give you my source files that inspired those designs. Not only is this an example of what you can do by reading my tutorial on custom swooshes, It also answers your questions about how my fancy vector headers were born. And if this is your first time to visit BittBox, after reading this and the 2 posts mentioned above, you should be well on your way to customizing and/or creating your own one-of-a-kind decorative swoosh and curl designs in no time, in 100% vector format.

Random Free Vectors Part 1 - Circles

Posted by Sideduck at 12/15/2007

I’m starting a new series today: Random Free Vectors. I started this blog to share things that I like to design, without having to have a client that needs it. So, I’m going to start posting some random vector designs that I like making in my spare time/research. These are obviously going to be more on the decorative/artsy side instead of web design, but they might come in useful as background elements, patterns, etc. I think it’s wrong for these to just sit collecting dust on my hard drive. I’m hoping that some of you can find uses for this series of freebies.

Splats and Splatters Brushes

Posted by Sideduck at 12/12/2007

Brushes: 30

A set of Photoshop brushes made up of various paint splats and splatters. Contrary to my other Speckles & Spatters set, this set is made out of photos taken from real paint that was splattered around on a canvas. Fun to make! These are all fairly high resolution, and come with single splats, as well as huge spatterings, some long stringy splats, and sets of a few splatters put together.
